A few St. Louis Pictures
Things that make me go "mmmmmmm......"
Sight: traveling, my friends and family after an extended time apart. a baseball field. an interesting photograph. smiles. the NYC skyline.
Hearing: my favorite song on the radio. my favorite musicals. the crack of a baseball bat. the swish of a basketball as it goes through the net. laughter. sizzling of food on a grill.
Touch: any kind of hug. clean t-shirt cotton sheets (sheets that feel like t-shirts).
Taste: breakfast food. cookies and milk. food cooked on the grill. cheesecake. cereal.
Smell: fresh cut grass. rain. brownies fresh out of the oven.
What makes you go mmmmm.....?

Daily Dose for 3/8
Ok, I'm currently in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with the IUPUI pep band for the 2009 Summit League tourney. We arrived in Sioux Falls about 9-930 last night and when we got up this mornig there was snow on the ground. The last four years, we've traveled to Tulsa, OK for the tournament, so we didn't have to worry about cold weather and snow (at least the snow). The girls managed a slight victory over IPFW, but sadly the boys didn't manage a victory, losing to Southern Utah.

Daily Dose for 3/6/2009
Ok, so I was talking to some girls in my television aesthetics and criticism class on Tuesday about Rent. One of the things we were talking about was adjusting our minds when we see different people play roles that we've only seen one person play. Let me give y'all an example, before my Rent: Live on Broadway dvd arrived a couple of weeks ago, I had only seen one other person play Mark, and that was Anthony Rapp. Adam Kantor was the very talented actor who closed Mark on Broadway. I thought Adam an amazing job as Mark, the one thing that took some getting used to was the fact that Adam didn't have the whole blonde hair/blue eyes thing going on the way that Anthony does. I told the girls and they agreed that seeing someone play a role that you've long since associated with one actor takes some getting used too. Another thing that took me by suprise with the whole Rent thing when I first started watching it was the fact that Jesse L. Martin could sing. I didn't know this mainly because I never got to see him play Collins on Broadway (I was 10 years old when they opened), and I had long since associated Jesse as hard-core Detective Green from Law and Order.
Well thats my daily dose of non-sense for today! Have a great-one!

Just Some thoughts
So I've been thinking lately about changing my specialty area from media to theater within my degree. I've only been thinking about this since I got my Rent: Live on Broadway DVD. It had a lot of extra features on it, mainly one that talked about the final days of Rent on broadway. I really got me thinking about theater, in a way that I had never thought about it before. So, I logged on to the web to think about internships in New York for theater checking Monster and Careerbuilder.com and couldn't really find anything. I then remember vaguely reading about on on the New York Theater Workshop page several months ago. I'm now in the process of considering that intership for the Spring 2010, that is if I get my degree done in time.
